Our Family Serving Yours at Knollcrest for Nearly 3 Decades

“It’s hard to believe that it’s been nearly three decades since we decided to put everything we had into to creating Knollcrest Funeral Home”. Those are the words of Bob Van Staalduinen describing the very big step he and his wife Elaine took nearly 30 years ago. So, with their young children they moved into their home above the funeral home and began serving the communities of Lombard, Villa Park, Oakbrook Terrace, Oak Brook, Elmhurst, Downers Grove and beyond. Families within many faith communities come from near and far to celebrate the lives of their loved ones with the Knollcrest Family.

In those early years, Josh Van Staalduinen remembers his father moving furniture and preparing for families to make Knollcrest their home as they welcomed their families and friends to pay respect and honor to a beloved family member who passed. Now, Josh, Holly and other family members are very much a part of those preparations for families extending the same effort to make every family who chooses Knollcrest feel at home when they’re sending their loved one home. We’ve added and redecorated a lot over three decades, but the feeling of “home” is something that never changes. Nor has the feeling that we are privileged to serve our communities that have grown as quickly as our family has. We’re honored to be here for you.
